The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) takes place in Baku, Azerbaijan (11 – 22 November).

One of our partners MarViva is actively committed to amplifying the ocean’s crucial role in climate action and emphasizing the conservation of high seas biodiversity.

In the virtual stand MarViva presents relevant information about the Thermal Dome with a selection of captivating videos and text resources. To access you must register at https://cop29oceanpavilion.vfairs.com and enter Exhibits.

November 11: “High-level Opening Event: Managing and conserving our ocean together through transformative ocean-climate-biodiversity solutions” with Katherine Arroyo Arce, Executive Director of the MarViva Foundation
November 21: “High-Level Closing Event: Taking the Leap into Marine Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction: Navigating the BBNJ Agreement together in the context of climate change” with Professor David Freestone, Executive Secretary of the  Sargasso Sea Commission
