The Sargasso Sea Commission shared experiences from over a decade of work to conserve the Sargasso Sea, which is directly related to part III of agreement on area-based management tools.
It outlined work on the collection of the best available science for conservation through its socio-ecosystem diagnostic analysis (SEDA), as well as its work to introduce an independent, 3rd party stakeholder engagement strategy to support the conservation of the Sargasso Sea. It also shared work on communications and knowledge management for high seas conservation.
